Following the incursion of caravans onto the KGV Fields earlier this year, the EVRT Trustees are putting in place a security barrier to prevent further unauthorised incursions onto the fields. This will allow the KGV car park to be opened again for legitimate visitors, such as those using the playgrounds, walking on the fields, playing sports or using the Hall.
The measures will cost £10K: the Trustees will use £3K of the charity’s limited reserves, and the Parish Council has granted £3K towards the cost from the Community Fund. EVRT are crowd-funding for the rest of the cost, and the Parish Council will match-fund any contributions up to £2K.
If you would like to help secure these beautiful fields for everyone to use, please consider contributing to this appeal.
